Our family have been riding with Nev and his team at Thredbo Valley Horse Riding since 2005. Nev and the team have taken our children from young beginners through to confident, adult riders with his well trained horses and outstanding guides. The views are awesome and the setting is amazing all year round, from snow covered trails in winter, stunning autumn and spring days as well as a welcome escape from the summer heat. Thredbo Valley Horse Riding is by far the best trail riding established I have been to. Our group of 6 riders were greeted warmly on arrival, and great care was taken to ensure our safety and comfort throughout the entire ride. Nev, Linda and the other guides ensured we were all matched with horses that suited our individual levels of experience. We all appreciated the time taken to explain how these horses should be ridden (in accordance with how they have been trained), as well as learning a bit about the background and personality of our mounts.
My beautiful horse "Stripe" was a pleasure to ride. Responsive, with a soft mouth and kind disposition ...it was clear that he enjoyed his job, and was so fit and healthy. ....a testament to the care and professionalism of his owners. I hope to get the opportunity to ride with Thredbo Valley Horse Riding again later this year.

How wonderful it is to go horseriding with people who genuinely care about their horses! Also lovely to see that here in the Snowy Mountains you can ride a brumby. So much better to see them ridden and cared for after all the media hype about culling them. With such a large area to ride, you rarely ride on the same trail no matter how often you come back, and with four legged ambassadors such as Nev’s you want to come back often. The tall timber, streams, ridges, open meadows and mountain terrain make a ride in Thredbo Valley, a real “Man from Snowy River” experience.
